Travel Stories Week 47
What's your favourite place you have visited?
My favorite place is Rio de Janeiro. The city feels like a non-stop party, with friendly locals casually drinking and chatting with each other on the street. I was also impressed by their live music scene - it felt like samba was truly everywhere. Definitely my favorite city I've visited in the past few years.
What’s the best thing you have seen while travelling?
The Marble Caves in Chile were the best thing I've seen while traveling. I'd seen them on social media for quite a few months before getting to see them in person. On an especially sunny day, the sunlight sparkling on the water reflects back from the marble in such a spectacular way, that it really feels like a divine experience.
What’s your best travel story?
I embarked on a 5 week solo backpacking trip through Patagonia, going through Chile and Argentina. I checked off several bucket list places and attractions, and even got to ice walk on a glacier! The experience allowed me to learn a lot about backpacking and camping, but I also realized the value of sharing these kinds of trips with friends and family. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat, but maybe bring a friend or two for the journey.
